At the same time it inhibits the growth of algae. Pieces of mangrove wood supply your plecostomus with vital fibre.
Furthermore, they are ideal hide-outs for catfish, loaches and shrimps.
Hint: Before being placed in the aquarium, the pieces of mangrove wood should be watered in a container until they sink to the bottom.
May be very well used for terrariums, too.
