Gymnothorax polyuranodon (Freshwater Moray Eel) 30-40 cm

Gymnothorax polyuranodon is a unique moray eel that inhabits freshwater rivers as well as brackish estuarine environments. Its elongated body and classic moray appearance make it a fascinating feature species for large aquariums.

This species requires numerous hiding places among rocks, roots and caves. A tightly covered aquarium is essential, as morays are skilled escape artists. It is best suited for experienced aquarists with spacious aquariums.
