Lepidosiren paradoxa South American Lungfish 10-15 cm
The South American Lungfish is one of the most unusual freshwater fish species in the world. Native to South America, it is capable of breathing atmospheric air using true lungs and can survive in oxygen-poor environments.
Young specimens are fascinating aquarium fish, but they eventually grow into very large predators requiring extremely spacious aquariums.
