Diversa Nutri Plant Substrate

Diversa Nutri Plant is a nutrient-rich base layer installed beneath the visible aquarium substrate. It creates a long-term nutrient reserve within the root zone and supports healthy, consistent plant development.

The formula combines four natural materials: peat, clay, loess, and coconut fibre. Together, these components help retain nutrients, maintain a suitable root-zone structure, and support biological activity within the substrate.

Nutri Plant is not intended to be used as the visible top layer. Apply a 1.5–2 cm layer to the bottom of a dry aquarium and cover it completely with 4–6 cm of quartz gravel or fine aquarium gravel. A top-layer grain size of approximately 1–5 mm is recommended.

Supports root development

Nutri Plant is particularly suitable for plants that obtain a substantial proportion of their nutrients through their roots, including:

• Echinodorus
• Cryptocoryne
• Vallisneria
• Aquarium lilies
• Many stem plants
• Carpeting plants
• Other strongly rooted aquarium plants

Plants that primarily absorb nutrients from the water column may also require liquid fertilization. Actual fertilization requirements depend on plant selection, lighting, carbon-dioxide availability, water changes, and growth rate.

Natural four-component formula

The substrate contains:

• Peat
• Clay
• Loess
• Coconut fibre

The combination creates a nutrient-retaining and biologically active root zone beneath the visible aquarium substrate.

Long-term nutrient foundation

Nutri Plant is designed for long-term use. The actual service life depends on plant density, growth rate, lighting, carbon-dioxide supplementation, substrate thickness, and maintenance.

In older aquariums, root-fertilizer tablets can replenish localized nutrients without replacing the complete substrate.

Package sizes

• 3 l: for aquariums below approximately 30 litres
• 5 l: for aquariums of approximately 30–60 litres

These recommendations are approximate. Actual consumption depends on aquarium footprint and the selected substrate depth.

Instructions

1. Use the product in a clean, dry aquarium.
2. Do not rinse Nutri Plant before use.
3. Spread a 1.5–2 cm layer across the aquarium base.
4. Cover the substrate completely with 4–6 cm of quartz gravel or fine aquarium gravel.
5. Use a top-layer grain size of approximately 1–5 mm.
6. Position rocks and wood securely.
7. Fill the aquarium slowly to approximately half its volume.
8. Direct the water onto a plate or protective surface.
9. Plant the aquarium and guide the roots through the top layer.
10. Fill the aquarium carefully.
11. Start filtration and other equipment.
12. Allow the aquarium to mature before introducing livestock.

Do not vacuum deeply into the Nutri Plant layer. Clean only the upper surface of the covering gravel to prevent the nutrient substrate from entering the water column.
