NYOS Reef Cement is a fast-setting reef cement for attaching corals, rocks, and complete reef structures. Mix three parts Reef Cement powder with one part cold water to create a mouldable compound suitable for use above or below water. It sets in approximately two minutes and is not harmful to fish or corals when used correctly.
NYOS Reef Cement is a powdered bonding material developed for marine and reef aquariums. It provides a firm, durable connection for coral frags, reef rocks, columns, arches, overhangs, and complete aquascaping structures.
The cement can be applied above or below the waterline. Once mixed with cold water, the mouldable compound must be used immediately because it sets in approximately two minutes.
Suitable applications
- Attaching coral frags
- Securing coral plugs to reef rock
- Bonding small and large reef rocks
- Building columns and arches
- Creating overhangs and caves
- Constructing free-standing reef structures
- Positioning corals vertically or underneath ledges
- Reinforcing unstable aquascaping structures
The cement should contact the frag plug, exposed skeleton, or rock rather than living coral tissue.
