Chihiros CO2-magneettiventtiili

When powered, the solenoid opens the CO₂ line and allows gas to flow from the regulator to the diffuser or reactor. When power is removed, the normally closed valve stops gas flow automatically.

This enables CO₂ injection to be coordinated with the aquarium-lighting schedule. The system can start before the lights turn on and stop before the end of the lighting period, reducing unnecessary overnight gas consumption.

Installation

1. Close the CO₂-cylinder valve.
2. Disconnect the regulator from the power supply.
3. Release all remaining pressure from the system.
4. Confirm compatibility with the exact regulator model.
5. Install the required seals.
6. Attach the solenoid in the correct flow direction.
7. Do not overtighten the connections.
8. Connect pressure-resistant CO₂ hose.
9. Install a check valve in the correct direction.
10. Connect the included 12 V power supply.
11. Open the cylinder valve slowly.
12. Test every connection for leakage.
13. Power the solenoid and adjust the bubble rate.
14. Test scheduled opening and closing.
15. Monitor aquarium pH, the CO₂ indicator and livestock.
