Granulate food for the cichlids of Lake Tanganyika, granule size M, 1,000 ml tin. The granule sinks.

The species of Lake Tanganyika mainly eat crustaceans and small animals – unlike the grazing species of Lake Malawi. That is why the protein content of this food is 43% and shrimp meal 15%. The plant-based food meant for Malawi species is not enough for these fish.

The food was developed from JBL research expeditions: the dives were made in Lake Malawi and Lake Tanganyika at the depths the species live at.

A sinking granule takes the food to the water layer where these species look for it in the wild too.

The natural astaxanthin from krill and spirulina supports colouring. The one litre tin is intended for a large stock.

Packaging: an air- and light-tight, recyclable tin with a dosing aid inside the lid.

Prebiotic food: food high in protein puts a load on the gut, so digestion has to work. The dietary fibres feed the beneficial intestinal bacteria, and food that digests better leaves less excrement and therefore fewer nutrients in the water.
