HAPPY LIFE algin extra 250ml

Happy-Life Algin Extra targets cyanobacteria that form slimy blue-green, green, brown, or dark mats across substrate, plants, rocks, wood, decorations, and aquarium equipment.

Despite commonly being called blue-green algae, the growth consists of photosynthetic bacteria rather than true algae. Cyanobacteria can spread rapidly and return after manual removal unless the established bacterial growth and the underlying aquarium conditions are both addressed.

Dosage

12.5 ml per 100 litres once weekly for four weeks.

Combined use with Algin Regular

When both products are used simultaneously, reduce each product to half of its standard dosage:

• Algin Extra: 6.25 ml per 100 litres
• Algin Regular: 6.25 ml per 100 litres

Do not use full doses of both products simultaneously.

Instructions

1. Confirm that the growth is likely cyanobacteria.
2. Siphon away as much visible growth as possible.
3. Remove badly covered or dead plant material.
4. Perform an approximately one-third water change.
5. Remove activated carbon and other adsorptive media.
6. Switch off UV sterilisation.
7. Keep normal filtration and circulation operating.
8. Shake the bottle thoroughly.
9. Calculate the actual aquarium-water volume.
10. Add 12.5 ml per 100 litres into an area with good circulation.
11. Do not pour the concentrate directly onto plants or livestock.
12. Repeat once weekly for four weeks.
13. Remove detached and dead growth regularly.
14. Maintain strong aeration and surface movement.
15. Stop treatment and perform a water change if livestock react adversely.
