An external filter for aquariums of 160 to 600 l (100 to 150 cm). Pump output 1,400,l/h. The biological media volume is 12 l.

Why an external filter: the filter sits outside the tank, so its entire volume is available for biological filtration and takes no room inside. In a closed circuit the water passes through all the media rather than round them.

The filter is extremely quiet and uses less power than comparable earlier models.

Starting up: the filter has a quick-start primer, so there is no need to start the siphon by hand. Hoses, pipes, intake strainer, elbow and suction cups, plus the filter media (bio balls and bio filter foam), are included.

A new pre-filter: the patented pre-filter has twice the surface area of the previous model. It holds back coarse dirt before the biological media, so the media themselves need washing less often – and washing is what destroys the bacterial culture.

The hose connection is a screw fitting with a water stop, so maintenance can be done without water running onto the floor.

The warranty is 2 years, plus 2 more on product registration.
