SUPERFISH AQUAGRAVEL RIVER SAND 4KG

Natural river sand for the aquarium, 4 kilograms.

Sand is the finest of substrates, and one thing is worth knowing about it: airless pockets can form in a thick layer of sand, and in them hydrogen sulphide is produced.

The problem is avoided in two ways. Keep the layer thin, about two centimetres, or stir the sand now and then with a finger or the tip of the vacuum.

In return sand is the best option for species that dig: catfish, gouramis and many cichlids dig in sand in the wild as well.

Sand affects neither the pH nor the hardness of the water. Rinse it before use.
