Black Mangrove Snake (Boiga dendrophila gemmicincta)

Boiga dendrophila gemmicincta, commonly known as the Black Mangrove Snake, is a remarkable subspecies of the Mangrove Snake originating from Sulawesi. Adults are often almost completely black, making this one of the most distinctive and sought-after forms of Boiga dendrophila.

This species is highly active, alert and primarily arboreal. It requires a spacious enclosure with plenty of climbing opportunities and is recommended only for experienced reptile keepers.
