Florida Crushed Coral is a natural aragonite material suitable for aquariums requiring alkaline, mineral-rich water. The coarse mixed-grade texture creates a natural coral-rubble appearance and remains more stable than fine sand in stronger water movement.

The material can be used in marine systems, African cichlid aquariums, brackish-water tanks and filtration chambers. Its porous surface also provides colonisation area for beneficial nitrifying microorganisms.

Directions

1. Confirm that a coarse alkaline substrate suits the livestock.
2. Rinse the material before use.
3. Do not use soap or household cleaning products.
4. Stabilise rockwork before adding a deep substrate layer.
5. Spread the material evenly across the aquarium bottom.
6. Add water slowly to reduce cloudiness.
7. Start filtration and circulation.
8. Monitor pH, KH and GH after installation.
9. Allow a new aquarium to mature before adding livestock.
10. Siphon selected substrate areas during routine water changes.
