eSHa 2000
eSHa 2000 is a broad spectrum fish treatment developed for freshwater aquariums. It targets several fungal, bacterial, and parasitic conditions while helping protect damaged skin and support the healing of wounds. The product is suitable for tropical freshwater fish and coldwater ornamental fish.
eSHa 2000 is especially useful when fish display several symptoms at the same time or when the exact cause of the condition cannot be identified with certainty. One treatment can address more than 18 symptoms and disease organisms.
The product is suitable for treating fin rot, fungal infections, bacterial skin problems, ulcers, damaged mucus membranes, wounds, and selected external parasites. It also helps protect damaged skin and fins against secondary infections.
Fin rot may appear as ragged, shortened, pale, or inflamed fins. Without treatment, the damage may gradually progress towards the body. Fungal infections often appear as pale or cotton like growths on the skin, fins, wounds, or other damaged areas.
Possible signs of bacterial infection include red skin, blood filled patches, ulcers, cloudy areas, swelling, and raised scales. Similar symptoms can also result from poor water quality, so the aquarium water parameters should be checked before beginning treatment.
eSHa 2000 is added directly to the aquarium water. Fish do not normally need to be caught or transferred to a separate treatment aquarium, which helps reduce handling stress. The standard treatment follows a simple three day dosing program.
Mechanical and biological filtration can remain operational during treatment. Activated carbon, zeolite, ion exchange resins, and other media that may absorb the treatment should be removed. Ultraviolet sterilizers, ozone generators, and similar water treatment equipment should be switched off.
eSHa 2000 can be combined with eSHa EXIT when fungal or bacterial symptoms occur together with white spot disease or another protozoan infection. It can also be used with eSHa gdex according to the instructions supplied with the products.
