Aqua Medic Bali Sand 3–4 mm is a natural, additive-free white calcareous substrate for marine and reef aquariums. It consists of approximately 98% calcium carbonate together with zeolite-like minerals. The medium-coarse grain remains more stable than fine sand in stronger water movement, provides surface area for beneficial microorganisms and supports the biological breakdown of detritus. The package contains 5 kg
Bali Sand is a fossil natural material that is not removed from living coral reefs. Its bright white appearance creates a clean reef-style substrate, while the 3–4 mm grain size is particularly suitable for aquariums where fine sand would be moved by strong circulation.
The material is suitable for all marine aquariums and can be used with anemones, tube worms, burrowing wrasses and sand-moving gobies when the grain size suits the individual species. The substrate must be thoroughly rinsed before use.
