Diversa OptiWhite Aquarium

The Diversa OptiWhite Aquarium is a premium glass tank for aquascapes, planted aquariums, and individually designed underwater displays. Carefully selected dimensions, clear glass, and minimalist construction provide an excellent foundation for layouts featuring aquatic plants, rocks, wood, and ornamental fish.

The aquarium is made from high quality OptiWhite glass with a lower iron content than standard float glass. This reduces the green appearance of the glass edges and surfaces. Exceptional transparency provides a clear view and reproduces the natural colours of plants, fish, and decorative materials accurately.

The visual advantage of OptiWhite glass is particularly noticeable with pale rocks, white sand, red plants, and brightly coloured fish. Clear glass minimizes the visible boundary between the aquarium and its surroundings, allowing the underwater composition to remain the main focus.

The aquarium is bonded with transparent silicone. Discreet seams complement the clear glass and rimless design. Ground and polished glass edges provide a refined finish and make the aquarium comfortable to handle during installation.

Its braceless construction creates a clean and open appearance. Glass thickness is selected according to the dimensions of each model and European DIN requirements. Smaller models use 6 mm glass, medium models use 10 mm glass, and the largest sizes use 12 mm glass.

Diversa OptiWhite is ideal as an open aquarium. A separate LED light can be mounted on the glass edges or suspended above the aquarium. Lighting should be selected according to aquarium depth and the requirements of the plants.

In a planted aquarium, clear glass and open construction reveal plant structure, colour, and layering. The rectangular footprint supports Iwagumi layouts, wood focused Nature Aquarium designs, and densely planted Dutch style aquariums.

An internal filter or external filter can be selected according to aquarium size, livestock, and visual requirements. An external filter keeps technical equipment outside the visible display. Glass or stainless steel inlet and outlet pipes can complete the minimalist appearance.

A thermostatically controlled heater should be selected for tropical fish. Densely planted aquariums may also benefit from carbon dioxide injection, a suitable planting substrate, and regular fertilisation. Lighting, filtration, cabinet, and other equipment are selected separately.

Diversa OptiWhite can also be configured as a marine aquarium when filtration, circulation, lighting, and other equipment are selected for saltwater use. Confirm suitability with the manufacturer before drilling the glass or making structural modifications.

The stated volumes are calculated from the external dimensions. Actual water volume is lower because glass thickness, substrate, rocks, wood, equipment, and the space above the waterline reduce usable capacity.

Selecting the aquarium

Choose the aquarium size according to the intended livestock, plants, and layout. A deeper footprint provides more space for layered aquascaping and creates a stronger sense of visual depth.

Consider the adult size, group requirements, swimming behaviour, and territorial needs of the fish. For planted aquariums, also consider mature plant size, growth rate, and the lighting coverage required.

Installation and setup

1. Select a completely level and sufficiently strong aquarium cabinet.
2. Check the surface with a spirit level.
3. Place a full size levelling aquarium mat under the tank.
4. Inspect the glass, edges, and silicone seams before filling.
5. Rinse substrate, rocks, and wood when required.
6. Position heavy rocks securely without creating pressure points.
7. Install filtration, lighting, heating, and other equipment.
8. Fill the aquarium gradually while checking the seams.
9. Start filtration only when the equipment contains sufficient water.
10. Cycle the biological filtration before adding livestock.
11. Introduce fish gradually and monitor water quality.
12. Never lift or move a filled aquarium.
