Sera Gravel Cleaner Nano

A small gravel cleaner for hard-to-reach places.

What the small size is for: small aquariums and the places a large nozzle will not fit – between rocks, under wood and among planting. The cleaner suits all gravel types, and thanks to the freely adjustable bypass it can also be used in sand. The bypass keeps the suction light enough that the bed does not compact.

Why the substrate needs vacuuming: the coarser the gravel, the more sludge collects in the gaps. Food disappears into the bed before it can be eaten, and animal waste and dead plant parts settle there without ever reaching the filter. A large amount of sludge is not just unsightly, it degrades water quality.

Gently, not down to bare gravel: useful bacteria grow in and on the substrate and are part of the tank's biology. The bed is therefore vacuumed gently rather than sterilised.

What is in the pack: 2 metres of transparent hose are included, so the cleaner is ready to use straight away. The clear hose is useful: you can see when the water runs clean and the job is done.
