Sera Marine Salt 20 kg - Merisuola E

A marine salt for reverse osmosis and tap water. According to the manufacturer the 15 litre (20 kg) pack makes 600 litres of sea water.

What the salt contains: calcium and magnesium in biologically correct proportions, along with trace elements. A special process keeps the trace elements permanently in solution and so available to the life in the tank for a long time – in an ordinary salt some of them precipitate out quickly.

What it does not contain: nitrate, silicate or phosphate. Those three are exactly the substances that feed diatoms and other algae in a marine tank, so their absence is the salt's most important quality.

The skimmer: the manufacturer states that the salt contains nothing that artificially stimulates skimmer activity. The skimmer's output therefore reflects the real load in the tank rather than additives in the salt.

Dissolving and buffering: an even grain size and good homogeneity make the salt dissolve quickly and without residue. It gives natural GH and KH levels, and its own buffer system keeps the pH in the correct range.

Pack sizes: 1.3 kg (40 l), 3.9 kg (120 l) and 15 l / 20 kg (600 l). This is the largest.
