Chihiros Double Tap, 13 mm (12/16 mm), sulkuhana

The larger side connects to 16/22 mm hose, while the smaller side accepts 12/16 mm hose. This allows equipment with different connector sizes to be integrated into one filter circuit without a separate reducer and shut-off assembly.

Both sides can be closed before releasing the quick connector. Water therefore remains inside the hoses more effectively during maintenance, and the selected device can be removed without draining the entire installation.

Installation

1. Confirm both hose sizes before cutting.
2. Disconnect the filter and all inline electrical equipment.
3. Close existing filter valves and depressurise the hose section.
4. Cut both hoses cleanly and squarely.
5. Push the 16/22 mm hose fully onto the larger connector.
6. Push the 12/16 mm hose fully onto the smaller connector.
7. Secure the hoses and lock the central quick connector.
8. Open both valves slowly.
9. Fill and bleed the filter circuit.
10. Start the external filter.
11. Check every connection for leakage.
12. Inspect the installation again after several hours.
