Ocean Nutrition Reef Pulse

Reef Pulse combines marine copepods, krill, squid, fish proteins, Artemia nauplii, mussels, marine fish eggs and microalgae. The broad particle-size distribution makes the food suitable for mixed reef aquariums containing both small-polyp and large-polyp corals.

The food can be used for target feeding or broadcast feeding. Its marine proteins and free amino acids help stimulate a natural feeding response in SPS and LPS corals.

Feeding instructions

Target feeding

1. Mix the required amount with approximately 100 ml of aquarium water.
2. Temporarily switch off filtration and the protein skimmer.
3. Reduce strong circulation.
4. Apply a gentle food cloud above the selected corals.
5. Avoid forcefully injecting food into coral tissue.
6. Restore circulation after the food has been captured.
7. Restart filtration and protein skimming after feeding.

Broadcast feeding

1. Mix the required amount with approximately 500 ml of aquarium water.
2. Temporarily switch off filtration and the protein skimmer.
3. Keep circulation operating to distribute the food.
4. Add the mixture gradually to the aquarium.
5. Restart filtration and skimming after approximately 10–15 minutes.

Maximum dosage:

Up to 1 teaspoon per 400 litres daily.

Begin with approximately one-quarter of the maximum dosage and adjust according to coral density, feeding response, nitrate and phosphate levels.
