Ocean Nutrition Rotifers

Ocean Nutrition Rotifers contains frozen rotifers suitable for animals that require exceptionally small food particles. Their good buoyancy makes the food accessible to larvae, slowly swimming animals and sessile filter feeders.

The food may be used for selected fish fry, small marine and freshwater fish, shrimp larvae, corals, tube worms, anemones, jellyfish and other suitable suspension feeders. Species-specific feeding requirements must always be considered.

Feeding instructions

1. Remove only the amount required for one feeding.
2. Defrost in a clean container.
3. Do not use hot water for defrosting.
4. Mix the defrosted food gently.
5. Feed small portions two to five times daily as required.
6. Offer only as much as the animals consume within approximately five minutes.
7. Distribute the food into moderate water movement.
8. Use a pipette for coral target feeding when necessary.
9. Temporarily stop mechanical filtration and protein skimming only when required.
10. Restart all equipment promptly after feeding.
11. Monitor nitrate and phosphate levels.
12. Do not refreeze defrosted food.
