AquaForest LPS Food coral food for LPS corals

AquaForest LPS Food is a granular coral food designed especially for the nutritional needs of LPS corals in marine and reef aquariums. LPS corals, or large polyp stony corals, can benefit from regular supplemental feeding because many species are able to capture food particles directly with their polyps.

The product is rich in protein and nutritious fatty acids that support coral energy metabolism, tissue condition and growth. AquaForest LPS Food is especially suitable for corals with a clear feeding response and for corals that extend their polyps in the evening or after lights out.

Recommended use

Who is this product for?

This product is suitable for marine aquarists who want to feed LPS corals in a controlled way and provide direct nutrition in addition to lighting and stable water values. AquaForest LPS Food is a strong choice for experienced reef keepers and dedicated beginners who want to improve their LPS coral care routine.

Dosage

The manufacturer’s basic dosage is 1 measuring spoon per 100 liters of aquarium water after lights out. The food can also be target fed directly above corals using a pipette or feeding tube. When introducing a new coral food, start with half or even one quarter of the recommended dose and observe coral response and nutrient levels.

Before use

LPS corals often use food most effectively when their polyps are extended. During feeding, water flow can be reduced briefly if needed so the food does not drift away from the corals immediately. The protein skimmer can also be switched off briefly to give corals more time to capture and use the food.

Avoid overdosing

Careful dosing is important with coral foods. Excessive feeding can increase nitrate and phosphate levels and may contribute to algae growth or cloudy water. Monitor coral response, polyp extension, water clarity and NO3 and PO4 values after starting the food.

Why choose AquaForest LPS Food?

AquaForest LPS Food is a strong choice when you want to provide LPS corals with a dedicated granular food. It supports targeted feeding, helps maintain coral condition and fits well into a careful reef aquarium feeding and maintenance routine.
