Diversa Claro internal filter

Diversa Claro is an easy-to-use internal aquarium filter designed to clean, circulate, and support the oxygenation of aquarium water. It attaches directly to the inside glass with the included suction cups, eliminating the need for external tubing or a separate filter canister.

Adjustable flow allows the output to be matched to the aquarium volume, livestock, and layout. A reduced setting is suitable for animals that prefer calmer conditions, while a stronger setting increases circulation and surface movement.

The included outlet components allow the water direction to be customized. A spray bar distributes the flow across a wider area, while the angled outlet directs water towards a selected section of the aquarium. The diffuser draws air into the outgoing water and produces bubbles that support surface movement and gas exchange.

The filter cartridge captures suspended dirt, uneaten food, plant debris, and other particles. Its porous structure also provides colonization area for beneficial bacteria involved in biological filtration and the aquarium nitrogen cycle.

The cartridge-based design reduces the presence of a strong, exposed intake. Smaller Claro models are therefore particularly useful in nano aquariums containing shrimp and small fish. Additional protection may still be required when keeping newly hatched fry or extremely small shrimp.

Claro is designed for quiet and economical continuous operation. It can be installed on the rear or side glass where water can circulate without obstruction. Directing the outlet towards the surface helps improve gas exchange and prevents a stagnant surface film.

The filter is suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums. In marine systems, regular cleaning helps prevent salt and mineral deposits. Rinse every cleaned component thoroughly before reinstalling the filter.

Claro 1000 is the most powerful model in the range. It provides strong circulation for medium-sized aquariums and can also serve as supplementary filtration or an additional circulation pump.

Choosing the filter

Select the Claro model according to the actual water volume, livestock, feeding level, and biological load. A heavily stocked or intensively fed aquarium may require more filtration than the stated maximum aquarium recommendation suggests.

Consider the natural flow preferences of the aquarium inhabitants. Long-finned fish and species from calm waters require gentler circulation, while active river species may benefit from stronger water movement.

Installation and maintenance

1. Rinse the filter cartridge before first use.
2. Select the required outlet nozzle or spray bar.
3. Attach the filter to the rear or side glass with the suction cups.
4. Submerge the filter at least approximately three centimetres below the water surface.
5. Do not bury the appliance in sand or gravel.
6. Direct the outlet to create circulation throughout the aquarium.
7. Make sure the power cable and plug are dry.
8. Create a drip loop before the electrical socket.
9. Switch on the filter only after installing it in a filled aquarium.

Disconnect all aquarium electrical equipment before placing hands in the water. Rinse the cartridge regularly in water removed from the aquarium to preserve as much beneficial bacteria as possible.

Clean the impeller and impeller chamber if the flow decreases or operating noise increases. Avoid replacing the cartridge unnecessarily. When replacement becomes necessary, gradual replacement helps protect the established biological filtration.
