Hobby Terrano Chopped coconut for 6 - 7 l

A pressed block of coconut husk for humid and rainforest terrariums. A 500 gram block makes 6–7 litres of substrate once water is added.

Preparing it: put the block in a bucket and add warm water. The husk soaks up the water and breaks into a loose material you can spread in the terrarium.

Why coconut: the material is light and takes moisture into itself, so no puddles or standing water are left on the floor. That matters for amphibians, whose skin is in constant contact with the substrate.
