Superfish Pond Eco 8500 is a modern and energy‑efficient pond pump designed for reliable and continuous water circulation in garden ponds. It is ideal for supplying pond filter systems, streams, waterfalls and decorative water features where stable performance and low running costs are required.

The Pond Eco range utilizes advanced motor technology to deliver strong output with very low energy consumption. With a power usage of only 41 watts, the Eco 8500 offers an economical solution for long‑term operation during the pond season.

The pump supports two installation methods:

• submerged installation inside the pond
• dry‑mounted inline installation as part of a filtration system

For dry inline installation, the pump must be installed outside the pond with the inlet positioned below the water level and the pump fully filled with water at all times. The pump must never be operated without water.

Run Dry Protection

The Pond Eco 8500 is equipped with an integrated run‑dry protection safety system, which is especially important for inline installations.
If no water flow is detected for 10 seconds, the pump automatically shuts down and attempts to restart after 10 seconds.
If water flow is still not restored, the pump repeats this cycle up to five times, after which it stops completely to prevent damage.

Once the water supply is restored, the pump can be restarted by:

1. unplugging the power cord
2. waiting approximately 60 seconds
3. plugging the pump back into the socket

This safety feature significantly increases operational reliability and protects the pump from damage caused by interrupted water flow.
