Cut the measurements one at a time. Cut the length first, take the poster behind the tank and check it in place before cutting the height.

Cutting both measurements at once from a tape measure readily goes wrong, because the tank's frame, the trim along the glass or the back of the cabinet take up room in unexpected places.

Excess can always be removed, but what has been cut away cannot be had back.

The poster weighs 48 grams and is double-sided.
