Tunze Comline® Pump 900

Tunze Comline Pump 900 is a compact water pump designed for reliable continuous aquarium operation. It was developed particularly for internal filtration systems requiring adjustable circulation, low heat transfer, and low energy consumption.

Pump output can be adjusted mechanically from approximately 250 to 850 litres per hour. The adjustment range corresponds to approximately 30–100% of maximum output, allowing circulation to be matched to the filtration system, aquarium volume, and livestock.

The pump consumes only approximately 2.5–4.5 W. Its efficient motor limits unnecessary heat transfer into the aquarium and supports economical continuous operation.

Compact installation

Without the outlet, the pump measures only 60 × 60 × 40 mm. Its compact construction makes installation straightforward inside Tunze Comline filters and conventional internal filtration compartments.

The outlet has a diameter of 13 mm. Use tubing and fittings with compatible dimensions and avoid sharp bends that restrict water flow.

Installation and maintenance

1. Disconnect aquarium equipment from the power supply.
2. Inspect the pump, cable, and impeller.
3. Rinse the pump with clean water.
4. Install it inside a compatible filter or filtration compartment.
5. Keep the water intake unobstructed.
6. Connect correctly sized tubing to the outlet.
7. Avoid sharp bends and compressed tubing.
8. Begin with a moderate flow setting.
9. Make sure the pump is completely submerged.
10. Create a drip loop in the power cable.
11. Start the pump and check circulation.
12. Increase the flow gradually when required.
13. Prevent the pump from vibrating against the housing or glass.
14. Never operate the pump dry.

Clean the intake, impeller, shaft, and impeller chamber regularly. Remove marine calcium deposits with a pump-safe cleaning solution and rinse every component thoroughly before reassembly.
