Sicce AIRLIGHT 1.500

Sicce AIRLIGHT 1.500 is an external aquarium air pump that provides a steady airflow for oxygenation and improved water movement. With a maximum output of 90 litres per hour, it offers stronger aeration than the AIRLIGHT 1.000 while retaining a compact design and low power consumption.

The bubbles produced by an air stone increase movement at the water surface and promote gas exchange between the aquarium water and the surrounding air. Increased surface agitation can improve oxygenation and help maintain suitable conditions for fish, invertebrates, and beneficial filter bacteria. Additional aeration can be particularly useful in warm water, heavily stocked aquariums, quarantine tanks, and during certain aquarium treatments.

AIRLIGHT 1.500 can be connected to an air stone, bubbling ornament, or small air driven filter. A single stainless steel air outlet provides a durable connection for standard aquarium airline tubing. The pump is suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums when installed in a dry location outside the aquarium.

The pump is designed for quiet operation. Vibration damping rubber feet reduce the transfer of vibration to aquarium cabinets, shelves, and other surfaces. The pump can be placed on a stable horizontal surface or mounted vertically using the integrated wall mounting hook. An operating indicator light makes it easy to check whether the pump is running.

With a power consumption of only 2 watts, AIRLIGHT 1.500 is an economical option for continuous aeration. It operates at 230 or 240 volts and 50 hertz. The 1.5 metre power cable provides flexibility when positioning the pump near the aquarium.

Installation and use

Place the Sicce AIRLIGHT 1.500 on a stable, dry, and level surface outside the aquarium. Whenever possible, position the pump above the aquarium water level to prevent water from travelling back through the airline tubing.

If the pump must be installed below the water level, fit a suitable non return valve to the airline. Create a drip loop in the power cable below the electrical socket to prevent water from reaching the connection.

Connect the airline tubing to the pump outlet and install an air stone, bubbling ornament, or air driven filter at the other end. Inspect and clean the air stone regularly. A blocked air stone may restrict airflow, increase back pressure, and reduce pump performance.

Never submerge the air pump or place it where it may be exposed to water splashes or continuous moisture.
