TMC Reef Skim 2.0 2250 DC valkuaisainevaahdotin
TMC Reef Skim 2.0 2250 DC is a high-capacity sump-mounted protein skimmer for demanding marine and reef aquarium systems. It removes dissolved organic compounds before they break down into nitrate and phosphate.
The skimmer is nominally suitable for systems up to approximately 2,250 litres. Practical capacity depends on fish stocking, feeding, coral sensitivity, and additional nutrient-export methods.
Adjustable DC pump
The Reef Pump SK DC provides adjustable, energy-efficient performance. Electronic speed control allows the air-and-water mixture to be matched to aquarium load and the desired skimming result.
Power consumption ranges from approximately 10 to 55 W. The pump operates at 24 V DC with a maximum current of approximately 2.29 A.
Feeding mode
The controller includes a feeding mode that pauses the pump temporarily. This helps prevent suspended coral food and supplements from being removed immediately.
Collection-cup filling should be monitored after feeding because foods and aquarium treatments may temporarily increase foam production.
Bubble-diffusion plate
The high-performance diffusion plate distributes fine bubbles evenly throughout the reaction chamber. This reduces turbulence, stabilizes the foam column, and maximizes air-to-water contact.
Base-mounted water outlet
Water exits through the base of the skimmer. This innovative design increases contact time, reduces operating noise, minimizes escaping microbubbles, and eliminates the need for a large external outlet assembly.
Quiet operation
An integrated air-intake silencer reduces venturi noise. The adjustable DC pump, balanced bubble plate, and base outlet contribute to quiet operation in noise-sensitive aquarium installations.
Compact sump footprint
The skimmer measures approximately 235 × 225 × 545 mm. Its compact footprint provides high-capacity skimming without occupying excessive sump space.
Leave sufficient clearance above and around the skimmer for collection-cup and pump removal.
Easy pump maintenance
The pump is designed for quick removal. Regularly clean the intake, impeller, impeller chamber, venturi, air hose, silencer, bubble plate, and collection-cup neck.
Calcium and salt deposits can reduce air intake and increase operating noise. Use a pump-safe cleaning solution and rinse all parts thoroughly.
