Hobby Biotherm Easy Control

The Biotherm Easy Control is a terrarium controller that handles temperature, humidity and lighting in a single unit. It combines a timer, a thermostat with PID control and a hygrostat.

Presets for 40 common species are stored in the unit. You select the species number, set the current time in 24-hour format and define the desired setting — the rest comes ready. The species list is in the manual and on the manufacturer's site.

PID control means the controller anticipates the change in temperature rather than simply switching heating on and off. It holds the temperature more steadily than a simple thermostat, which matters for reptiles.
