Diversa Exus External Filter

Diversa Exus external filters provide multi-stage filtration outside the aquarium. Their sealed canister construction preserves space inside the tank and accommodates several filtration-media types.

Installation and maintenance

1. Select the filter according to aquarium volume and biological load.
2. Position the canister upright below the aquarium water level.
3. Install the filtration media in the correct order.
4. Connect the inlet and outlet hoses to the correct valves.
5. Open the valves before starting the filter.
6. Fill and prime the filter according to its instructions.
7. Check every connection for leaks.
8. Disconnect power and close the valves before maintenance.
9. Rinse mechanical media in removed aquarium water.
10. Clean the rotor, chamber, hoses, and pipework regularly.
11. Inspect seals, valves, and the canister for damage.
12. Replace worn parts with the correct model-specific components.
