Ctenopoma maculatum is an attractive African predatory fish known for its spotted pattern and calm nature. It prefers aquariums with plenty of plants, driftwood and hiding places where it can observe its surroundings.
The species is best kept with similarly sized fish, as smaller tank mates may be viewed as prey.
