TUNZE Care Magnet nano Algae Cleaner

TUNZE Care Magnet nano is designed for cleaning the glass panels of small and medium-sized aquariums. It is suitable for aquarium glass from 6 to 10 mm thick and can be used in freshwater, marine, and reef aquariums.

Instead of a conventional flat cleaning surface, Care Magnet uses two plastic blades of different lengths. The blades concentrate cleaning pressure along narrow edges and remove algae efficiently while producing very little resistance in the water.

High-performance plastic blades

The blades are manufactured from wear-resistant high-performance plastic. Their different lengths create different contact pressure:

• The narrow blade removes firmly attached algae.
• The wide blade cleans larger glass areas efficiently.

Depending on use and cleaning frequency, the blades can last from several months to approximately one year.

Reduced risk of trapped sand

The internal magnet body remains more than 3 mm away from the aquarium glass. This space reduces the possibility of sand becoming trapped between the magnet body and the glass.

Only the narrow plastic blades contact the surface. The design makes cleaning close to the substrate safer than with many conventional flat magnetic pads.

The risk of scratching cannot be eliminated completely. Inspect the blades, aquarium glass, and outer felt before every use. A single trapped grain of sand can scratch the glass.

Slim construction

Care Magnet nano measures only 45 mm wide and 78 mm long. Its compact profile makes cleaning easier around plants, rocks, wood, decorations, and corals.

It is particularly suitable for:

Rounded blade corners support smooth movement between adjacent glass panels and reduce the risk of damaging silicone seams.

Stainless steel blade available separately

An optional stainless steel blade can be used to remove extremely stubborn algae and calcareous deposits from glass aquariums.

The metal blade must never be used on acrylic or plastic surfaces. It is sold separately and is not included with Care Magnet nano.

Not recommended for acrylic

Care Magnet nano is intended primarily for glass aquariums. Use on acrylic or plastic is not recommended because trapped particles or unsuitable blades may cause permanent scratches.

Coloured end caps

The package includes eight coloured end caps in:

• Blue
• Green
• White
• Black

The end caps allow the cleaner to be customized or colour-coded for different aquariums.

Use and care

1. Confirm that the aquarium glass is 6–10 mm thick.
2. Inspect the plastic blades and external felt surface.
3. Remove all sand and hard particles.
4. Place the internal magnet inside the aquarium.
5. Bring the external magnet towards the glass from the side.
6. Allow the magnets to connect gradually.
7. Clean using slow and controlled movements.
8. Avoid pressing the blades forcefully against silicone seams.
9. Inspect the blades after cleaning near the substrate.
10. Separate the parts by sliding the external magnet sideways.
11. Rinse the internal section and blades with clean water.
12. Allow the components to dry before storage.

Strong magnets can cause pinching injuries. Keep the cleaner away from children and magnet-sensitive equipment.
