The porous ceramic element converts pressurised CO₂ into a fine mist directly within the external filter’s return flow. Over time, mineral deposits, biofilm and debris may obstruct its pores, resulting in larger bubbles, uneven atomisation and increased pressure requirements.

Replacing the ceramic restores the performance of the existing diffuser without requiring an entirely new inline unit.

Installation

1. Close the CO₂-cylinder valve.
2. Disconnect power from the solenoid.
3. Release all remaining CO₂ pressure.
4. Disconnect the external filter from the power supply.
5. Close the filter-hose valves.
6. Remove the External Diffuser from the return line.
7. Open the diffuser body.
8. Remove the old ceramic and seal.
9. Clean the thread and sealing surfaces.
10. Install the new seal.
11. Screw in the replacement ceramic by hand.
12. Do not overtighten the ceramic element.
13. Reinstall the diffuser.
14. Start water circulation before CO₂ injection.
15. Check all connections for leakage.
16. Start CO₂ at a low setting.
17. Confirm fine, even atomisation.
