Dosage

The manufacturer’s basic dosage is 1 measuring spoon per 100 liters of aquarium water. Fill a small container with approximately 20 ml of aquarium water, add the measured amount of AquaForest Pure Food and mix for about one minute. Pour the suspension directly into the aquarium in an area with good flow or use a pipette to target feed selected corals. Use at least once a week. In mature and stable reef aquariums, the product can be used more often when needed.

Before use

When using the product for the first time or in a newer aquarium, start with a smaller dose, such as half or one quarter of the recommended amount. Observe coral response, polyp extension, water clarity and nitrate and phosphate levels. Careful dosing is important with coral foods to avoid increasing nutrient load too quickly.

Feeding time

SPS and LPS corals often use food most effectively after lights out when polyps are extended. Zoanthus, Ricordea and mushroom corals may also benefit from daytime feeding. If needed, the protein skimmer can be switched off briefly during feeding so the food can circulate and corals have more time to capture it.
