Tiger Nerite Snail (Vittina turrita)
Vittina turrita is one of the most popular algae-eating snails in the aquarium hobby. It is well known for its striking striped shell pattern, which resembles tiger stripes. The species is highly effective at grazing algae from aquarium surfaces.
Tiger Nerite Snails are plant-safe and make an excellent addition to planted and community aquariums. They spend much of their time feeding on algae and biofilm growing on glass, decorations and rocks.
