Green Anole (Anolis carolinensis) Adult

Anolis carolinensis, commonly known as the Green Anole, is a small arboreal lizard native to the southeastern United States. The species is famous for its ability to change between shades of green and brown depending on environmental and physiological conditions.

A suitable enclosure should provide vertical climbing space, branches, live plants, UVB lighting and appropriate humidity. Naturalistic setups allow the species to display its active daytime behaviour.

The species feeds primarily on small insects and other appropriately sized feeder animals. A varied diet combined with calcium and vitamin supplementation supports long-term health and wellbeing.
