A combined thermostat and hygrostat for terrariums: heating up to 600 W and humidifying up to 100 W. The unit has a day/night timer.

Besides heat, humidity is a decisive factor in the health of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. This unit controls both from one place, and each gets its own day and night setting.

A separate night setting matches what happens in nature: at night the temperature falls and the humidity rises. A thermostat alone cannot produce that combination.

The heat control is dimming: the current is reduced smoothly as the setpoint is approached instead of being switched off, which keeps the temperature steady. The range is 10 to 60 °C and humidity control extends to 99% relative humidity.

The LCD screen shows the heating mode, day or night mode and the measured temperature and humidity. A red LED lights while the heater is powered and a blue one while the humidifier is powered; the LED goes out once the setting is reached.

A heat mat, heat cable or ceramic heater connects to the thermostat and a fogger or humidifier to the hygrostat. The push button and dial system prevents accidental changes. The power cord is 190 cm and the sensor measures both temperature and humidity.
