A wood fibre bedding for snakes and other reptiles, 8.8 l. Made from 100% poplar wood (EU, country of origin Belgium).

The material is dust-free and extremely soft, so it suits sensitive species and hatchlings too – dust is a common cause of respiratory trouble in snakes.

The texture of the wood fibre lets a snake shape a firm burrow for itself, as it would in nature.

The absorption rate is 3:1 and the material dries quickly, so maintenance is light. The bedding is heat-treated, which reduces bacterial contamination and boosts absorbency. It is biodegradable and free of toxic oils and resins – which sets it apart from cedar and pine shavings, which are harmful to reptiles.

Use: make sure the terrarium or breeding tub is disinfected and dry. Spread an even layer of at least 2.5 cm. Spot clean daily and replace the bedding completely every 8 weeks or when necessary. Remove the snake from the bedding during feeding so that it does not swallow fibre with the prey.
