The filtration process consists of three stages:

2. Biological purification – beneficial bacteria living on the bio‑balls break down harmful substances
3. UVC treatment – the built‑in UVC lamp reduces single‑cell algae, helps control green water and supports disease prevention

The Superfish TopClear 5000 UVC is used as part of a pump and filtration system and is easy to integrate into pond setups. The UVC lamp is a consumable part and should be replaced periodically to maintain optimal performance.
