A small tank gains most from a background. When the back glass is only thirty centimetres from the front, everything behind it shows sharply – the pattern of the wall, the sockets and the objects of the room compete with the fish for attention.

In a large tank the water and the planting blur the background of themselves, so a missing poster does not disturb as much.

This size covers the back glass of an ordinary 60 centimetre tank entirely.

The poster is double-sided.
