Nyos Quantum 300 is an in-sump protein skimmer for marine aquariums of 1 000–4 000 litres. 2 × Quantum® 5.0 pump, only 2 × 22 W.
The Nyos Quantum 300 is a German-built protein skimmer for reef and marine aquariums of 1 000–4 000 litres. It runs in the sump and strips proteins and other organic load out of the water before they break down into nitrate and phosphate.
The Quantum range is known for quiet running and low power draw – this model uses only 2 × 22 W. It strips down for cleaning without tools.
Why Quantum
- Hybrid wheel – combines the strengths of a needle wheel and a mesh wheel, producing a dense fine-bubble flow. The shaft is wear-resistant zirconium dioxide.
- Clear-View reactor – a transparent reaction chamber lets you confirm at a glance that the skimmer is working, without taking it apart.
- Twister bubble plate – the saw-tooth plate spins the bubbles into a vortex so they stay in contact with the water longer.
- Titanium screws – nine grade 2 titanium screws. No corrosion and no seized threads at service time.
- Sinus design – rounded internal flow paths leave no dead corners where detritus can settle.
