A compact fluorescent bulb for terrariums, 25 W, E27 cap. Intended for species with very high UV requirements.

The UVB200 is intended for species with very high UV requirements – typically diurnal desert reptiles, which in the wild receive direct unfiltered sunlight.

The D3 yield index is high, and the extended penetration makes the bulb suitable for tall terrariums and dense screen covers as well.

UVB radiation lets the skin form vitamin D3, and D3 makes calcium absorption possible. Sufficient UVB prevents metabolic bone disease. UVA radiation stimulates appetite, activity and reproductive behaviour.

A UVB bulb emits little visible light, so combine it with a daylight bulb (Natural Light or Reptile Vision).

Replace the bulb yearly. The light and UV output of a compact fluorescent bulb decline over time even though the bulb still lights normally – which is exactly why replacing a UV bulb is easy to forget and the animal ends up without radiation.
