Waterbox Peninsula combines modern design, premium materials, and reef aquarium functionality in a complete display system. Its peninsula format provides clear viewing from three directions, creating an expansive presentation of fish, corals, and reef structures.

The overflow is positioned at one end of the aquarium. This leaves both long viewing panels and the opposite end open, supporting a clean layout without a central overflow interrupting the aquascape.

A Peninsula aquarium is ideal as a room divider. It can extend outward from a wall or separate living, dining, and working areas. The installation location should provide sufficient access for feeding, cleaning the glass, maintaining equipment, and performing regular aquarium care.

Ultra clear glass

The main viewing panels are constructed from ultra clear low iron glass. Reduced green coloration improves transparency and allows the natural colours of fish, corals, and reef structures to remain vivid.

Precision finished glass edges and high quality silicone seams complete the modern appearance. The clean glass construction allows the aquarium and reef landscape to become the visual centre of the room.

End mounted overflow

The overflow collects surface water and transfers it to the sump for filtration. Effective surface skimming carries floating debris and organic compounds towards mechanical filtration and the protein skimmer.

An adjustable overflow valve helps balance the flow for stable and quiet operation. Correct adjustment maintains a consistent water level and reduces plumbing noise.

Adjustable return nozzles direct filtered water back into the display. Dedicated aquarium circulation pumps should be selected according to the tank size, rock structure, and coral requirements.

Versatile sump

Waterbox Peninsula includes a sump designed for modern reef filtration. Separate chambers provide space for mechanical filtration, a protein skimmer, biological media, reactors, a refugium, and the return pump.

Mechanical filtration captures suspended debris, uneaten food, and organic particles. Depending on the model, the chamber can also accommodate an automatic filter roller.

The equipment chamber provides space for a suitable protein skimmer. A protein skimmer removes organic compounds before they break down into nitrate and phosphate. Select the skimmer according to the total water volume, livestock, and feeding level.

A dedicated refugium can hold macroalgae, biological media, or live rock. It can support nutrient control and provide a protected habitat for beneficial microorganisms.

An integrated freshwater reservoir supports the installation of an automatic top off system. Replacing evaporated water with purified freshwater helps maintain a stable salinity level.

Practical plumbing

The included plumbing is designed specifically for the system. Quick connections simplify assembly and reduce the need for glued standard fittings.

A precision overflow valve allows the circulation between the display and sump to be balanced. Careful adjustment supports quiet operation and a stable display water level.

A manifold may provide connections for compatible reactors and other water driven accessories. This helps reduce the need for multiple separate pumps.

A check valve can help limit water returning to the sump when the return pump stops. The sump must still contain enough empty capacity to receive all backflow during a power failure or maintenance shutdown.

Durable cabinetry

The cabinet is designed to support the weight of a large aquarium and tolerate the humid conditions associated with marine systems. Depending on the model, construction may include a strong aluminium frame and moisture resistant exterior panels.

Adjustable feet make it possible to level the complete system. The aquarium must be level from side to side and from front to back before filling.

Generous cabinet space accommodates aquarium equipment, dosing systems, and maintenance supplies. A separate electrical area helps keep controllers, power supplies, and cables organized and away from sump splashes.

Reef aquarium versatility

Waterbox Peninsula provides a suitable foundation for SPS, LPS, soft coral, and mixed reef aquariums. Final suitability depends on the selected lighting, circulation, filtration, and water quality management.

The long open display supports island structures, arches, open swimming channels, and extended reef layouts. Leave enough space for coral growth, water movement, fish activity, and cleaning the glass.

Lighting should be selected according to aquarium dimensions and coral requirements. Multiple fixtures or supplemental LED bars can improve coverage and reduce shadowing across a mature reef structure.

Installation and setup

Waterbox Peninsula is a large and heavy aquarium system. Confirm the floor capacity and delivery route before ordering.

  1. Calculate the estimated total weight with water, rock, substrate, and equipment.
  2. Confirm that the floor can safely support the installation.
  3. Measure doors, corridors, stairs, and lifts.
  4. Position the cabinet on a stable and level surface.
  5. Level the cabinet in every direction.
  6. Lift the display aquarium with sufficient people and suitable equipment.
  7. Install the sump and plumbing according to the instructions.
  8. Inspect every plumbing connection.
  9. Test the complete system with freshwater.
