HI774-25 is the original replacement-reagent pack for the Hanna HI774 Phosphate Ultra Low Range Checker HC. The package provides enough reagent for 25 phosphate tests.
The reagent uses the ascorbic-acid method. Phosphate in the sample reacts with the reagent to form a blue colour, and the Checker determines the concentration photometrically. The HI774 displays the result directly as phosphate within the 0.00–0.90 ppm PO₄ range.

Directions
- Rinse the cuvette with the water to be tested.
- Fill the cuvette accurately to the 10 ml mark.
- Clean the outside of the cuvette.
- Insert the untreated sample and zero the HI774.
- Remove the cuvette.
- Add the complete contents of one HI774-25 packet.
- Close and mix according to the instrument instructions.
- Avoid bubbles in the sample.
- Clean the cuvette thoroughly.
- Insert it in the same orientation.
- Run the timed measurement.
- Read the phosphate result from the display.
