NYOS Bacto Plus

NYOS Bacto Plus provides a broad-spectrum mixture of beneficial aquarium bacteria. The bacterial strains colonise filtration media, reef rock, substrate, and other aquarium surfaces, helping establish and maintain effective biological filtration.

The formula is particularly useful for new marine aquariums started with dry or artificial reef rock. It supports faster biological maturation while reducing organic waste and helping maintain clean, clear aquarium water.

Bacto Plus can also be used as a weekly maintenance treatment in established aquariums, preferably after a water change.

Dosage

New aquarium setup

10 ml per 100 litres once weekly for 2–4 weeks

Maintenance dosage

2.5 ml per 100 litres once weekly, preferably after a water change

Instructions

1. Calculate the actual aquarium-system water volume.
2. Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
3. Turn off the UV steriliser during treatment.
4. Measure the dose accurately.
5. Add the product to an area with good circulation.
6. Do not apply the concentrate directly onto fish or corals.
7. Use once weekly for 2–4 weeks in a new aquarium.
8. Use once weekly for maintenance in a mature aquarium.
9. Monitor ammonia, ammonium, and nitrite during aquarium cycling.
10. Monitor nitrate and phosphate regularly.
11. Do not overdose in an attempt to cycle the aquarium immediately.
12. Close the bottle securely after use.
