The titration scale uses a simple conversion factor in which one scale division equals 15 mg/l of magnesium. A separate indicator and titration solution provide a clear endpoint colour transition, while the precision dosing tip supports controlled addition of the titrant.

Testing instructions
- Rinse the sample vessel with aquarium water.
- Add the sample volume specified in the enclosed instructions.
- Add the reagents and indicator in the specified order.
- Mix the sample thoroughly.
- Fill the titration device with titration solution.
- Remove air bubbles from the precision tip.
- Add the titrant slowly while mixing.
- Reduce the addition rate near the endpoint.
- Stop when the specified permanent colour change occurs.
- Read the amount of titration solution used.
- Convert the reading according to the enclosed instructions.
- Record the result and measurement date.
- Rinse all test equipment immediately after use.
- Close and store the reagents carefully.
