Chihiros 16/22 mm letkut -CO2 diffuusori External L

The diffuser is installed on the pressure side of the external filter. Filtered water passes through the body while pressurised CO₂ is forced through the porous ceramic element.

Fine bubbles mix with the return flow and travel through the hose towards the aquarium. The extended contact time improves gas dissolution, while the filter flow distributes CO₂-rich water throughout the planted aquarium.

Installation

1. Confirm that the external filter uses 16/22 mm hose.
2. Disconnect the external filter and all inline electrical equipment.
3. Close the filter-hose valves.
4. Install the diffuser in the filter return line.
5. Follow the indicated water-flow direction.
6. Push both hoses fully onto the connectors.
7. Fit suitable hose clamps when required.
8. Support the hoses to prevent strain on the diffuser.
9. Connect pressure-resistant CO₂ tubing.
10. Install a separate check valve.
11. Fill the filter circuit and start the external filter.
12. Remove trapped air and check for water leaks.
13. Start CO₂ injection at a low setting.
14. Increase working pressure only as required.
15. Adjust the bubble rate gradually.
16. Monitor aquarium pH, the CO₂ indicator and livestock.
17. Recheck all connections during the first day of operation.
