AquaForest AF 110 Media Reactor

The AF110 directs aquarium water evenly through the selected filtration medium, allowing more effective contact than passive media bags. The transparent chamber makes it easy to monitor media movement, compaction and cleanliness.

Internal sponges help prevent fine filtration media from escaping into the aquarium. Adjustable sieves accommodate different media quantities, while the sealed design allows flexible placement when sump space is limited.

Installation

1. Select a stable and accessible installation location.
2. Leave sufficient clearance above the reactor for opening.
3. Measure the filtration medium according to its instructions.
4. Rinse the medium where required.
5. Open the reactor using the Smart-Twist mechanism.
6. Check the internal sponge and sieve positions.
7. Add the selected medium.
8. Adjust the upper sieve to the media quantity.
9. Clean and inspect the lid seal.
10. Close the reactor securely.
11. Connect the inlet and outlet hoses.
12. Install a flow-control valve where necessary.
13. Start the feed pump at its lowest setting.
14. Check every connection for leaks.
15. Increase flow gradually until the medium moves appropriately.
16. Recheck external installations for leaks during the first hours.
