Exoterra termostaatti 600W dual receptacles

A thermostat for terrarium heating with a day/night timer and two separate receptacles. Each receptacle handles up to 300 W, 600 W in total.

Two receptacles solve a common problem: the day and night heaters are different devices. An incandescent heat bulb can run during the day and a heat mat at night, and the thermostat switches between them automatically. Day and night temperatures are set separately.

The control is dimming and pulse proportional. Each mode has its own use: pulse proportional suits heat sources that emit no light (heat mat, heat cable, ceramic heater) and sends the current in pulses whose length and frequency change with the heating demand. Dimming suits visible-light bulbs and reduces the current smoothly as the setpoint is approached. Both remove the temperature swing that on-off control causes.

The range is 10 to 60 °C. The LCD screen shows the heating mode, day or night mode and both the measured and the set temperature. A red LED and a heating symbol indicate that the heater is on; once the setpoint is reached the LED turns blue.

The push button and dial system prevents accidental changes. The power cord is 190 cm and the sensor is waterproof.
