A bracket for suspending a Light Dome, Reptile Dome or Wire Light fixture securely above the terrarium. Dimensions 3.8 x 21.6 x 54 cm.

The height is adjustable, so the same bracket takes fixtures of different sizes and the amount of heat and light can be tuned by changing the distance.

Suspending the fixture extends bulb life considerably: a fixture standing on the screen cover is jolted every time the cover is moved, and filaments do not tolerate vibration. The bracket also prevents the fixture from tipping over and damaging the terrarium.

Preparing the glass decides how well the bond holds. The surface temperature at the time of application must be between 16 and 29 °C. Wash the area with warm water and liquid detergent, rinse and dry. Finish with a 50/50 alcohol and water wipe using a lint-free cloth.

Installation: loosen the screw at the back of the support base and remove the bracket. Position the base on the back or side glass with the protective backing still on and mark the spot – the position cannot be changed once affixed. Remove the backing, fit the base and make sure no air bubbles remain under the tape.

Let the bond cure for 24 hours before suspending a fixture. Then insert the rod into the base, adjust the height and tighten the screw. The fixture is mounted by sliding the ring of its support over the rod between two rubber washers; the position is adjusted by moving the washers.

Make sure the lamp's focal point is not above any plastic parts of the terrarium or the screen cover.
